Condition: Sheet affixed to window mat with brown paper tape around the perimeter of the reverse, toning to the reverse of the illustration board.
N.B. The "N.A." in the signature means that Brown was a National Academician. J.G. Brown was elected a member of the National Academy of Design in 1863.
Framed dimensions are 30 1/2 x 25 1/2 x 1 inches.
During cataloging the brown paper tape around the perimeter of the reverse was cut to allow viewing of the edge of the work. The watercolor was re-attached to the window mat using a few small hinges of linen tape over the brown paper tape. Condition of the watercolor is good.
